I want to give my slingbox a static IP on my LAN. The Slignbox Assistant does let me put in an IP address if I choose "manual" network setup, but it doesn't actually say static, and I don't see anywhere an option for DHCP, which makes me think this isn't really setting it to static. How do I make it stay on a particular internal IP address and disable DHCP?

Mooresville, NC, United StatesIf you're setting it up manually it's static. You're telling it what IP to use and saving it, it won't change. That's pretty much the definition of static. Your router may also have a setting to assign a static IP to the Slingbox's MAC address.
