Are you using the Slingbox passthrough or a splitter for the coax cables? If using a splitter try using the passthrough.

My Slingbox is hooked up in my daughter's cable service and has worked great for years through three moves. She recently switched to Time Warner digital and although the speed has been slower it has worked well on my receiving end. The problem is at her end. While the SB is hooked up she gets constant "blinks" on her TV and some channels blackout from time to time. When she unhooks the SB her issues go away.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks for your reply. She is using a splitter.
In searching for the passthrough I'm not finding a lot. I found this cable connect bundle for a SB Pro. Is this what you are talking about? I have found nothing for a Classic. Maybe you can point me in the right direction.

BTW, I use a Mac. Thanks once again.
santamiller, Sorry my bad. I forgot the Classic does not use a passthrough setup like other Slingboxes do.
Disregard that part.
When using the splitter it will lower you cable signal a bit and that could be causing the problem. You can read about it by Googling "coax splitter signal loss"
You may want to check as to what kind she is using.
I'll get that replaced with the best quality one I can find. Could that also be the reason why after her move my SB speed has dropped from around 600 to low 400s? She is using Time Warner with the fastest speed they have available.
santamiller, it could be an issue but I would first find out what they (Time Warner) says the upload speed is and then run a speed test at speedtest.net and see if it gives you what they tell you it should.
Download speed for TW at the SB location is 9549 and upload is 491.
She just replaced the splitter and the "blinking" issue continues on her home TV set, as do my slower than normal speeds I got before she switched to TW digital cable. Is it possible that simply by upgrading to a Solo from my Classic that doing so could cure this, or is it likely not that simple?
