Last week I bought the Slingbox-Pro and I tried to set it up with my DVB-T Handan VT-3100. Unfortunately this set-top box is not listed under Cable box so I chose the only Handan model available which is CV-3500. When I power off the set-top box, it will switch off and on again. When I change channels, it skips channel. It seems that the input is taken twice in succession. I would like someone to send me the correct config file so that I can properly control my set-top.
I greatly appreciate if someone helps me with this. Also note that in Malta, all customers have this type of model (Handan VT-3100) so it would be helpful to other customerswho have the slingbox.

I tried loading the Handan VT-3100 onto my Harmony Remote but it wasn't in the Logitech database. This is a bit surprising if all of Malta use it. Does it have an alternative model number ?

Here in Malta, we have two television providers. One is Melita which provides television over cable and other company named GO which provides DVB-T. The latter company supplies these set-top boxes Handan VT-3100. I took the model from the bottom of the box. I do not think there is an alternative model. I too have a logitech Harmony 885 and I have the setup for the VT-3100. I do not remember if I found it in the logitech database or programmed it from the other remote control.
OK, here's the deal, if you can find it in the Logitech database I can build a remote for it :-)
Alternatively, I keep a separate Harmony account for this purpose, so if you can get a working version of it onto that account I can then use it to learn the codes. PM me for the Username and password.

Sorry, then I've run out if ideas. It looks as though the repeat function, which as you know is configurable in the Harmony system, is set too high. Unfortunately SlingMedia control that setting and we do not have access to it. You will have to submit a ticket to them. But I wouldn't hold your breath for a solution.

That is bad news. In the meantime I received the following message from slingmedia which is also not helpful
"Unfortunately, the "DVB-T Handan VT-3100 MPZB" is not supported by the current release of the SlingPlayer. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We have forwarded this information to our engineers and they will decide whether or not to include this device in the next update of the SlingPlayer software.
You might want to have a look on www.slingcommunity.com or www.hifi-remote.com. This is our user based forum and you might find other customers who are able to create customized IR codes. You can check which devices are currently supported by using the "Remote Control Search" widget that can be found on many of the Slingmedia.com support sites."
I might try to contact Handan directly for support.

Looks like they know I'm here :-) Unfortunately without access to the 'repeat' counter I don't think there is anything we can do. You will have to hope that if they do add it they set a lower repeat value than normal.
I keep asking for a direct line to the boys that design the remote controls so I can discuss issues like this with them, but Slingmedia don't seem interested in having someone willing to help.
