Apologies if this has been covered before.

So I recently got the slingbox solo.  From the pictures, I can see that the input options are 3 way RCA, s-video, and composite video.  The problem is, my cable comes in from the wall to my tv in just a coaxial cable, with no box in between.  Therefore, I am looking for something to either:

 1. convert coaxial cable to rca 3way

 2. convert coaxial cable to single rca, then that to 3 way rca

 3. convert coaxial to rca audio and s-video

Suggestions?

Doesn't really work that way. You need a way to change channels.
Best thing to do would be to find an old VCR that has coax in and RCA out. Then use the slingbox IR emitter to change channels.

  • When asking for setup help please include whether you are using a PC or Mac and
  • if you are using the Standalone Slingplayer or the web based setup program.

Thanks Brandon, I didn't even think of that.
