I purchased the Slingbox Solo last year.  It is AWESOME; however, 2 months ago, it started freezing on me.  Last night after I did a hard reset it stated that it is an "Unconfigured Slingbox.  You must set up your Slingbox before you can use it.  Do you want to start the Slingbox Setup Assistant now?"

Whenever I use the Slingbox Setup Assistant, at some point during the process, I receive the error message: "Slingbox configuration has failed.  Unable to connect to the Slingbox.  Please verify your Slingbox network and connection settings and try again."

I have tried correcting the issue to no avail.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

I have the same issue. This occurred with the most recent firmware update. Sling support will only trouble shoot his if you pay for an extended warranty or for a one time fee for this issue. Seams very un professional to create firmware that breaks a functioning device and then expect your customer to pay to fix it. Good luck

Just wanted to provide an update to those members that might come across this very same issue.  After looking through posts on our site I finally came across a member who had a similar problem.  It was determined to be a defective device.  Quite unfortunate.  I had to shell out $200 for a new one but it's working perfectly now.  I hope this one lasts a lot longer.
