router help!!!

Hi there, I hope someone can please help because I have tried everything! I am sure I may have missed something and any help is very much appreciated.... I have recently purchased a Netgear DGN2000 Wireless broadband router and a Slingbox Pro. I have tried to connect my Slingbox firstly into my Netgear DGN2000 router and connect via this but my Netgear DGN2000 router does not see my Slingbox. I can however see and control my Slingbox if I connect this directly into my laptop via ethernet. I have checked my Netgear DGN2000 router and this is working allowing me to connect to the internet wirelessly and via ethernet. When I follow the Slingbox Network assistant help I input the IP address: 169.254.255.254 in the Router Setup Inbound Services Send To Lan and I get an IP Address Illegal! message Please help as I would to connect my Slingbox to my netgear router so I can view Slingbox remotely. I am totally clueless regarding port forwarding etc and have read lots about port 5001 and this I have set this up correctly as per your instructions but I don't know how to configure anything else or where to begin...... I...

Slingbox is stuck zapping in Digital TV

Hello. started to try the Digital TV source and Slingbox stop to work after a few time of zapping on channels. It happens both remotely and locally, no problem with other video sources. Once blocked only way to fix it is to disconnect power, when remote this is really disappointing since prevent further use for days when travelling. Firmware version: 1.3.80 Hardware version: 1.107.2 Anyone has or had this problem? Thanks in advance, tpx

Connection Failed - Help Please

I never had a problem viewing my slingbox until I upgrade the firmware. I have no problem with Setup Assistant, but when I try to connect after it's completed I get this message: Normal 0 0 1 37 211 1 1 259 11.773 0 0 0 "Connection Error SlingPlayer can’t connect to the Slingbox Location Service. Check your network’s Internet connection and firewall settings. If they’re okay, then the Slingbox Location Service might be temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." I'm literally sitting 2 feet from my slingbox with my laptop and only use my slingbox at home. I have the latest software - 1.0.10.272, Slingbox Pro, Linksys Wireless Router, and a PowerBook G4. I would appreciate any suggestions!!! Thanks!

New to Slingbox Pro

Hey to everyone - Newbie on the block, Slingbox is hooked up and working well. I recently purchased a new computer with Windows 7. When I open up Slingbox to watch TV, I can select and expand the screen, esc and shrink the screen no problem. However, if I click on anything on the remote or along my bottom task bar, my cursor changes from and arrow to a large plus sign - I think it is called "precision select". Once the cursor changes, i can no longer select to expand the screen etc. Once I roll back to the remote control, the cursor changes back to an arrow, and I can change the channel. Then back to change the size of the screen and no dice. Anyone else ever had this problem? How do I fix? It makes it a hassle to find a channel, then have to close the browser to reload browser and expand the screen, and have to do this anytime I want to change my channel. D'oh!

Problem with integrated tuner

Hi, I have a problem with tuner in my slingboxpro: the video resolution for this input (digital signal tuner) is max 320x240; I can't set the resolution in my slingplayer and my slingcatcher to 640x480. S-video input (skybox) work right instead. Anyone have this problem? Thanks.

Trouble with Slingplayer & Vista - stream lock-ups

Does anyone else have trouble with the SlingPlayer locking (freezing) up with Windows Vista? It seems to occur when the buffer gets close to full. Sometimes it returns - not in real time - sometimes, it just goes away and requires a disconnect and reconnect. I also get an occasional 'SlideShow' where audio continues but video freeze-frames.. then resolves back to real-time. I am using SlingPlayer version 2.0.3.508. Update is available but I am hesitant since it worked FINE before my last update..... hmmm !!!!

Slingbox and KISS 1600 wireless media receiver

Hi everyone, Im new to here, signed up hoping someone from here would be able to help me with this question. My setup is a PS3 in my living room connected to my HD TV, a windows home server, that streams to the ps3, and a KISS 1600 wireless media player , in my bedroom. What I would like to do is be able to watch blu-rays on the ps3 (based in the living room) on my bedroom tv via the linksys kiss 1600. Now I elieve the Slingbox pro can stream the ps3 to laptops (please correct me if I am wrong) but will it be able to stream to the lynksys kiss 1600 ?? I cannot afford to purchase the slingbox pro and the slingbox reciever, expecially as I already have the kiss 1600. Hope all this makes sense, and if it is possible someone could advise me, if it is not possible does anyone else have any ideas how to do this. I am not bothered too much about seeing the HD quality on my bedroom TV, I just don't see the point in buying a bluray of say ironman then buying a dvd aswell. Thanks for...
