Channels dont change on my pc when using remote control

I have a slingbox classic. Setting it up for the first time since i got this from a friend. When trying to view on my pc the tv, only one tv channel shows and when i use the remote it does not change the channel on the pc, but the DVR that controls my tv does change channels when i click the remote channel up and down on the pc. So it appears the remote onscreen works for changing the dvr/tv channel but it doesnt change what channel i am watching on the pc. I have exhausted my options. Any thoughts?

Slingbox classic has lost BBC 2

Hi, was wondering if anyone could help me. Over the last month or so, I have had problems watching my slingbox classic in spain, it is setup in the UK. Basically, most channels disappeared. I am now back in the UK for a short time, and retuned my classic. I use it's internal tuner, and now all seems fine, except I cannot receive BBC2. On the first retune, it put BBC2 Wales in the number 2 slot, but there was no picture or sound. On the 2nd retune, and subsequant, it just misses out BBC2 completely. My worry is that BBC2 analogue got switched off here in the last week or so, (I am in Liverpool, UK), and the rest get switched off next month. I didn't think this would affect me as I am using digital not analogue, but could this be connected to the problem, and am I likely to lose the rest of the channels when they get switched off next month. If I unplug the ariel from slingbox, and plug it into my tv with in built digital tuner, that picks up BBC2 with no problems, so am confused. If I got a cheap external digibox,...

Picture Freezing

I've noticed that when watching playback over both a SlingCatcher and via PC, from an ExpressVu DVR based in Canada, watching over a good high speed connection about 2,700 miles away, that the picture freezes fairly regularly. What's interesting is that it typically occurs during sporting events, and always during a replay. The picture freeze is "presignalled" by an audible "beep". If I rewind the DVR, the freeze will occur at the exact same time. Has anyone else experienced this? Any fixes? Thx

Question About downgrading firmware

Hi, I have a slingbox classic in the UK, which works fine streaming to the Indian Ocean - I get about 300k. I use VLC on my PC to rebroadcast the stream and then use a modded xbox to watch it on my TV. The picture quality is adequate (however considering that I'm getting UK tv, I am more than happy with it). Nosing around these forums and others, I have seen mention that some of the older firmwares were unencrypted and because of that, the picture quality was better. Some people have even rolled back to this older firmware because of this (and also the ability to record). My Classic has a hardware version of 1.59.0 and a firmware version of 1.2.4 Is it true about the better picture quality (I don't care about the recording ability) and if so which was the last firmware version that was unencrypted. Also can I downgrade the Classic remotely or do I need to do it locall. Thanks

Video but no Audio

Okay, so I've had the slingbox for almost 2 years. I live in Korea and it's worked fine the whole time. All of a sudden, last Friday, the audio stopped working. Nothing has been changed with the slingbox, computer, or source so it has me puzzled. Any ideas?
