I've been cosidering a smartphone for some time - but I want to have a physical keyboard. Touchscreen would be nice but I'd do without it to save money. I can't upgrade for 6 months (when new every 2 cycles) but a friend of mine just got the Droid so he's offering me his old Omnia. Can you buy one licence and later transfer it from a touchscreen-phone to non-touchscreen-phone? If not, will the touchscreen version work on non-touchscreen phones -- or vice versa? Or should I suck up and wait on SlingPlayer until I'm sure what phone I'll keep long-term? Any other info that would be good to know before I venture into the world of Windows Mobile with SlingPlayer? I can no longer connect to my slingbox Solo using my HTC Touch Diamond on Sprint. If I use the phone as a tethering device for my laptop, slingplayer for my pc works fine. The data connection on the phone also works for other things. I tried uninstalling slingplayer mobile and reinstalling. Anyone else having an issue like this or have any suggestions? All I see on my slingplayer mobile is Locating... Is this sling finder system down or something? I downloading two versions player for WM, one with touch screen one without- neither will install, with both I get a message "slingplayer mobile PPC...is not a valid pocket pc application" then installation terminates..Any ideas? The phone's OS is WM 6.5 it is a touch screen with a qwerty keyboard.
