When I click the up/down/right/left buttons, the device is triggering that the button was pressed three times. The right codes are being sent but too many times. Is there anything I can do? There is 6 hours time differences between east coast and France.. Most of my favorite TV shows are broadcasted in France like 3 am to 6 am.. So, I would like to record them on Hauppauge 1212 HD-PVR or any DVD recorders with built in hard drive and to watch them in French prime time. But I wonder if I can schedule recording programs on these recording devices and play them remotely through slingbox and slingplay.. Or let me know the best way. Sorry if this is a silly question, but I am not good at electronics and confused a lot.. Thanks for your help in advance! The input to my Slingbox from my Sky Satellite box is already working fine. On the list of DVD models provided on the Slingbox Set-up Assistant (I'm using Mac OS X - 10.5), there is only listed the Denon DVD 2900 which I selected and subsequently found that I can use the IR Control Code listed to Power On my DVD player from Standby but when I press the software button again to try and power off my DVD and switch it back to Standby mode it doesn't work. To try and find a valid Code to allow the DVD player to be switched both On and Off, I then selected "Other" from the list of Denon DVD players, and find that three codes are listed - Code 1, Code 2 and Code 3. If I select Code 2, I find that I can power off my DVD player by pressing the software Power button and switch it back to Standby. However, when I press the soft Power button again to try and switch my DVD Player back on again, it... I would like to record Slingbox programs that occur when I'm not home. I have a TV that is too old to have a USB connection for a computer. I have a vcr that is connected to the TV but also has no UBS connection. It only has the large rectangular connections with a bunch of flat metal plates as connectors not the USB connection that my computer has. I tried using the virtual remote that is on the Slingbox website to record. It says it is recording to vcr -but I can't find what it recorded on my computer and don't even have a vcr connected to the computer. I thought that it had recorded it to my hard drive -but I couldn't find it. I also can't see any programming buttons on that remote so that I can program a recording that happens at another time when I am not available. Can someone please give me some help with this problem?
