Poll: What are you using as your primary operating system?

This poll was suggested by SlingCommunity member Ken Sharp . "If it hasn't already been done, could you put a poll up for people to show which OS they are using? There are complaints that Mac support has basically been dropped (no SlingPlayer 2.0), and it may be helpful to gauge the actual amount of users that would be affected. Of course, Windows will come out on top. Windows, Mac OS, Linux, BSD, Solaris, Other... for example." Of course, you could be using more than one OS, so let's narrow it down to your primary or preferred one.

HD monitor?

I just got my Slingbox last month, and have been using it on my 6 year old 13 inch flat-panel monitor. I would like to watch my slingbox on a better monitor, and have decided an HD monitor is the way to go. Does anybody have any suggestions for which brand/model to get? I am looking around the 2-23 inch range, and I it must be less then $300, and preferrable less then $250. Also (completely unrelated to Slingbox), is it possible to plug both my computer AND my X-box 360 into an HD monitor? Thanks for your help.

Kitchen Slinging with touch screen

The new Verizon hub has got me thinking about getting a touch computer for the kitchen to check email, surf the web and watch tv via sling. Anyone out there have a touch screen computer that they can recommend. Only one our there I see is the HP Touchsmarts.

Email while using sling box and sling catcher

Hope someone can help me here. I probably know the answere but my dad wants to make sure before buying the Slingbox and catcher. He heard that while the box and catcher are hooked up and being used, his email won't be able to come through on his computer. His setup will be like this: Location A: Slingbox PRO-HD hooked up to a router (5mb cable) He will not be accessing the Slingbox via his computer. Location B: LCD TV hooked up to Slingcatcher hooked up to a router (5mb cable). Correct me if I'm wrong, but Slingbox to Slingcatcher doesn't even need a computer for it to work, just an internet connection on both ends. If that is the case, it shouldn't affect his computer from receiving his emails while watching the TV with the Sling catcher on it. Or doing anything else on the computer for that matter. Internet activity on the computer will probably be slower as the Sling catcher will be using most of the bandwidth, but still he should be able to function like normal on his computer. Thanks for the any responses Chris

ASUS G50VT-A2 Notebook Express gate Sling.com?

Hi Slingers, Does anyone know if we can use the Sling.com website's Live "TV Watch it here feature" with ASUS notebooks or mother boards that have the express gate feature? Has anyone looked into this? Is there anyway to install the Slingplayer any version on this? I'm not sure. Would it need some way to handle the ActiveX control that is downloaded to do this. This would be pretty neet feature. Just pop open the laptop and 8 seconds later. Your watching your slingbox at home.
