Slingbox in UK - Freeview box and Solo?

Hi there. I want to get a Slingbox for Christmas which I will leave at the in-laws in the UK. They currently get Freeview through the normal aerial. If I buy a Freeview box (probably one with a hard drive) can I use it with the Slingbox Solo? Or would I be better getting a Pro (although this doesn't have a record facility, right?) thanks Alex

[REQ] Japanese BS/CS and nationwide television networks

I have a BS/CS dish antenna, On my TV I can just connect the cable from this antenna to BS Connection and get BS/CS and 6 national TV networks. I am thinking that the TV has inbuilt tuner for BS/CS. I was wondering if the same will be possible with Sling box. My plan for setup is BS Antenna --> Sling box (Model not yet fixed) --> Get BS/CS and 6 National channels. I am sure that the 6 national channels will work without issue. Not sure about BS/CS Anyone with experience with similar setup ? Appreciate any help I can get.

HITACHI HDR 163 control

Slingbox PRO works fine but cannot control Hitachi HDR163 (not listed), tried every Hitachi option but none power off, any advice? Tech support say they will consider adding as its a new device but need it asap as off to OZ soon. Cheers Arthur

Anybody else have a problem controlling Bell Expressvu 5100

This is an older PVR receiver, but the remote that Sling thinks controls the device has no pvr functionality. It represents (or looks like) a 3100 (non-PVR) remote. Thanks.

Hello, I own a Slingbox Classic (UK Model) and i have a question. Is it someone that tried to put a VooCorder (HD DVR Model) though the Slingbox and get it remotable? It's just for know :-). Have a nice day ;-). Receiver Picture
