Horrible Support!!!

Great product when it works but the worst technical support ever. Its once thing to have horrible support but these guys want to charge you extra now for horrible support. I got my device which was not cheap (Pro) last year and used thier own TurboLink for network connection. I sent then emails and called them that it would freeze and then stop working from the Sling Catcher but would work fine on the Sling Player from a PC. They said we will look into it and will get back to me. 3 months later after followups, nothing. So the device "Slingcatcher" which was not cheap either was a paper weight since December till today. I call them and they say sorry we didnt get back to you before and we will look into it but for this call you will need to pay x amount to get support or extend warrenty... I can understand if you are buying a $10 device to support like this but to pay $200 + and only give 90 day support is just ridculous. Support should be free. Only warrenty exchange should be 90 days... In the end I solved my own problem by...

TECH SUPPORT USELESS

All they do is run the installer package just like you would. If anything goes wrong they will tell you to contact your CPU manufacturer. That's it, from the moment the player doesn't work, all questions and concerns to tech support regarding slingplayer will not be answered. BECAUSE THEY DON'T CARE. By far the lamest tech-support I have ever encountered, and honestly for me that is a serious achievement.

Replacement of defective boxes

I have been using slingbox froim the day it was launched. I normally use two in two different countries. A Slingbox Pro started to have problems with the video. A lot static..They authroized a replacement. The replacement - obviously a refurbished one - came today. It has video problems.. It doesn't produce color...black and white with color noise.. bad quality video. I wasted a whole afternoon with the customer service and whoever was the manager there was refused to replace the defective product. I wasted half day..have a defective product.. What is going on slingmedia??????????????????

ALURATEK-To your CELL-To your CAR

I recently purchased the Aluratek USB Jukebox, surprisingly, it was better than what I thought, 13, 000 station from all over the World and keeps growing, because you can add your local radio stations if they stream over the internet, there is not fee. Like the SIRIUS has everything for all tastes, this one does too, the quality in the Music is incredible since DJ’s from all over the World works for those Radio Station, you can find a Japanese Radio playing Rock or Sweden Radio playing Salsa and all mixed perfect. IDEA: Since the Slingbox PRO-HD have a USB, can be possible created a slingplayer for cell to play the 13 000 Stations or your local radio station everywhere you go and also connecting your cell to auxiliar in your Car, so we ending getting similar to SIRUIS for free. Since EchoStar was interest in purchased SIRIUS when was declared in bankrupt, maybe they also show interest in this company and incorporated this technology to the next generation of Slingbox. ALURATEK was born in 2007 that is the latest date that I found something from this company, actually selling their product in BB and other electronic stores. _______________________________________________________________________________ SOME...

SlingPlayer for PS3 (Playstation 3)

I would pay good money for a PS3 software implementation of the SlingPlayer. In my home I have a couple of Windows Media servers serving content around the home. One of the clients is a Playstation 3 so it would be great if I could have an application on the PS3 that could be used to watch the video stream from the Slingbox. It would be even more useful if the PS3 implementation could relay the video to one or more PSPs paired with the PS3 that has the Sling Player installed. (A standalone PSP SlingPlayer would be equally welcomed.)

Admin Override

This likely has been asked before, but with my searching of keywords and not finding anything, I figured I would ask anyways. There are numerous times when I forget to turn off the player on my computer and I am then unable to access from my mobile device (or another computer later on). Maybe it is already possible, but could a "boot all" option be built in that requires a password? So If I am on my mobile phone and it says it is already in use, I could stop all other users and use the device i am on? Thanks!
