HI, just to let someone else know, that if your Solo started to act weird after last fw update, which mine did, and it in the end lost all network connectivity (only power light litten) then plz be in contact with your nearest Sling SUpport Unit. I did that and they said, even though the warranty has ended 3-4 months ago they will send me a replacement unit for free. Thank you very much Sling Media, great Customer Service! /Mika

I have my SLingPlayer set to 640x480 but lately (e.g. since the updates) it won't go above 320x240 so the picture is somewhat lower quality. Has anyone else experienced that?

Unable to do anything with SB solo since last update. Slow blinking network light and unable to reset. Trying a belkin n+ router and still no SB. I have read a lot of posts and I think I have a boat anchor. Win vista/xp computers and I have swapped out everything and no joy. Any ideas?

A few days ago my Solo's power light started blinking. No other lights are on. I have tried unplugging to restart, also holding the reset button down and nothing works. Is this what im thinking? Is it dead? Thanks for the replies

Electrical Outlet = Network Hub

I just recently got the following set-up and I had a question. 1. Slingbox solo hooked up to Dish Network DVR 2. One port Slinglink Turbo hooked up to the Router 3. Four port Slinglink Turbo hooked up to the Slingbox The Slinglink Turbo box says that you can "Transform any electrical outlet into your network hub." What does this mean and how do I go about utlizing electrical outlets to hop onto the internet? Thanks, Oldsling

Open DNS Resolver

I got a problem with my ISP the other day. They blocked my internet connection because their recent survey showed that I had an "Open DNS Resolver". Google shows that a DNS resolver is open if it provides recursive name resolution for clients outside of its administrative domain. Open DNS resolvers are a bad idea for a few reasons: •They allow outsiders to consume resources that do not belong to them. •Attackers may be able to poison the cache of an open resolver. •Open resolvers are being used in widespread DDoS attacks with spoofed source addresses and large DNS reply messages. As with open SMTP relays, open DNS resolvers are now being abused by miscreants to further pollute the Internet. More info can be found here: http://www.securiteam.com/securityreviews/5GP0L00I0W.html http://spamlinks.net/prevent-secure-dns.htm However, I was not aware of this problem at all, and was quite surprised when I got the mail from my ISP. The network has been restored since, but the ISP asked me to take measures to get rid of this security issue. My question is: Is this because of my Slingbox Solo? I have no idea what this problem really is, or how to get rid of it, but I can't...
