Slingbox Configuration Has Failed

I purchased the Slingbox Solo last year. It is AWESOME; however, 2 months ago, it started freezing on me. Last night after I did a hard reset it stated that it is an "Unconfigured Slingbox. You must set up your Slingbox before you can use it. Do you want to start the Slingbox Setup Assistant now?" Whenever I use the Slingbox Setup Assistant, at some point during the process, I receive the error message: "Slingbox configuration has failed. Unable to connect to the Slingbox. Please verify your Slingbox network and connection settings and try again." I have tried correcting the issue to no avail. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

input cables

Apologies if this has been covered before. So I recently got the slingbox solo. From the pictures, I can see that the input options are 3 way RCA, s-video, and composite video. The problem is, my cable comes in from the wall to my tv in just a coaxial cable, with no box in between. Therefore, I am looking for something to either: 1. convert coaxial cable to rca 3way 2. convert coaxial cable to single rca, then that to 3 way rca 3. convert coaxial to rca audio and s-video Suggestions?

Can't connect to slingbox after installing Slingplayer update

I went out of town this week and brought my laptop to view Slingbox since I'll be gone for a couple weeks. When I opened Slingplayer, it asked me to update the software and I did. Big Mistake! Now I can't connect to the Slingbox. I asked someone at home to reset the Slingbox, which they did. But no luck connecting to slingbox from my current remote location. Is there anything I can do to get connected to the slingbox without having to go back home to connect within the home network? I am using SlingPlayer 2.X.

No Audio from Dish N/W HD DVR VIP-622

I suddenly have lost audio in my Slingbox Solo. My audio source is a Dish Network HD 2-Tuner DVR. Dish says that the #2 Audio output is for TV 2. However, TV 2 gets its Audio & Video from a 75 OHM connection and not RCA audio cables. As a result, the audio in to the Slingbox from the second audion connection on the DVR worked until recently, now it has quit. Anybody out there have a solution to this problem?

Slingbox keeps freezing...

I have never written one of these before so I am going to be as specific as possible... Alright, I bought my slingbox solo at the beginning of September because I was going away to live in Germany for about 9 months... My husband got a job out here and I literally have nothing to do so I rely heavily on my slingbox.. When I turn it on it continuously freezes goes back on.. freezes and continues to do that have 2 to 3 seconds.. the picture is also blurry... I updated the slingbox on Friday and didnt notice a change in it until sunday night. However, I was not home all weekend so wouldn't have noticed... When I updated my slingbox in reconfigured (i believe taht is the term) my slingbox at home as well.. I went on other threads and tried to fix it myself... I had my contact at home check for any loose wires, the internet connection and unplug and replug in the slingbox... Everything at home was still perfect... I even tried to uninstall and reinstall slingplayer on my computer... I have two computers in Germany and both are doing the exact same thing... nothing...

SB video streams on Vista, not 7

Hello - I've used my Slingbox Solo just fine for about a year now on two laptops running Windows XP. Recently purchased new laptops - one running Vista and the other Windows 7. On the Vista machine, the Slingbox works great, however on 7, the video stops streaming seconds after optimization. According to Slingbox's website, this should not be a compatability issue. I'm not trying to use the web-based program, as I understand that it is not currently compatible with a 64-bit system, so this is limited to my desktop application. I did try using 7's compatibilty wizard to no avail. After the video freezes, I can still control my cable box via the SB remote - so everything works except for the video freezing part. Help??
Powerline adapters don't work with Slingbox

Hi, I bought Dynamode Powerline adapters to connect my Slingbox to my router in another room. But the adapters don't seem to work with the Slingbox. The test I ran is as follows: 1. Adapter A connected to router 2. Adapter B connected to my PC Result --> Powerline utility reports a connection 3. Connect Adapter B to Slingbox Result --> Pwerline utility cannot find any connection Anyone any ideas as to what is going on here? Is the Slingbox compatible with all types of adapter? Thanks
