comcast dvr model with volume control?

I have a slingbox solo running v2.03.508, that I have been using for quite some time with my old comcast dvr - I am now actually a TW Cable customer. I define the dvr as a model DCT6412, and it works fine - except the virtual remote has no volume control buttons. That was never a problem because I used my TV volume control at home, and the DVR volume was set high enough for slingbox playback. However - recently, I moved the whole setup around, and started using the DVR's own volume control. But, when I use slingplayer, I have no way of boosting the volume if I left it too low at home. I have tried quite a few model choices in the slingplayer setup, and none of the virtual remotes (except the qip models) have volume control buttons. (The qip remote looked totally different, and the volume buttons did not seem to work.) I am on the road at the moment, and cannot look to see what model the dvr says - and I seem to remember I could not find a model #, and, originally, I found some info online that suggested I try the DCT6412...

Media Player device that can play ISO's?

I have yet to buy one of these Media Players.... Personally I'm holding out till the right one comes along. I archive my DVD's as ISO's and I don't like the idea of encodeing this that or the other. I want a player that can mount an ISO and play it. (nice if it can show me a picture like album art in itunes) I don't care if I need gigabit network to make it work just as long as it's an ISO. It's way too much work to make other types of files for me. With a computer I can mount an ISO and it acts like a disk in the drive and I can play it. If you've got a fast enough NAS (network storage device) one could put the ISO on it and mount it with a PC. I don't know of a Media player that can do that. Do you?

Dual tuner receiver and slingbox pro??

I have a Direct TV receiver model R15 dvr. I was under the impression when I bought the Slingbox Pro-HD that I could watch tv on the laptop and not interfere with television at home. I am told by Slingbox Support that this is not the case unless I have a dual tuner receiver thru Direct TV. I think the R15 is a dual tuner receiver. Can anyone help me set this up so that it will not interfere with the tv viewing at home? Thanks!

Hi there folks, Does anybody know the code/'s for remotes on slingbox that works with the DSTV PVR, TDS850IMC? Or even an older version remote codes that works with it. Apparently the old SD PVR's remote also works. Thanks Mossie

Media Center output to a SlingBox

I have a different problem getting my Slingbox solo to work with WMC. I can configure the Slingbox to control WMC, but my issue is more getting the display to work on the slingbox. My main monitor is a 46" Toshiba LCD running VGA @ 1360 x 768. My video card is a Nvidia 8600gt dual DVI and TV out (s-video/component) I have tried hooking up both the s-video and component to the slingbox and neither work. I can get the desktop to show up on the slingbox but it is extended only and does not show WMC when opened. I have tried to clone the resolution of both displays but that does not work. The only way I can get WMC to work on slingbox is if I set the TV out as the main display, but then it's a pain to set back and I don't want to have to switch all the time. I'm thinking since I do have a second DVI, maybe I can run DVI to component into the slingbox. Will that work? If not maybe just getting a secondary video card? Any other ideas? Again, I have no problem controlling WMC with slingbox I...
