Inconsistent SlingCatcher Stream

I now use (two) SlingLink Turbo and (one) SlingLink adapters to connect my SlingCatcher and Slingbox Classic to my D-Link DIR-825 router. I've grown increasingly frustrated by the inconsistent nature of the stream I experience when the SlingCatcher is connected to the Slingbox. While at one moment the stream may exceed 1500-2000Kbps, it may also fall below 500Kbps at another. Given that I'm using powerline adapters and not wi-fi, I'm at a loss to explain this dramatic variation in stream speed from one minute to the next. Any thoughts? I'm not sure if it's a SlingCatcher or Slingbox Classic problem, or if it has to do with my SlingLink adapaters (newish and oldish). Thanks.

Connecting to a NAS with Slingcatcher

Hiya, I have a Synology DS209+II NAS which contains all our media (videos, pictures, music) and whenever I try to attach it as storage to my slingcatcher I always receive the invalid userid/pw error message. I know that my credentials are right because I can use them to attach to the NAS via PC without a problem. Has anyone else been able to connect to a Synology NAS successfully? I have seen a lot of people posting on the Synology forums that they've received a similar error and issue connecting but no resolution thus far. Thanks in advance for any advice. Andy

Weird B&W Slingcatcher issue

Hi all I turned on my slingcatcher today and the picture is in B&W. I thought it might have been a loose connection but not. The weird thing is that if I unplug the scart passthrough from the back of the sky box from where it normally lives and plug it into anything else its in colour. Its the same scart connection, direct to source, but sky, and sky only is in B&W. Its fine on the TV above the Sky box, but the one plugged into slingcatcher is B&W, but only when on Sky. Setup is Slingcatcher, and solo (UK). thanks for any thoughts!

Why is Sling letting Roku do that to them?

The SlingCatcher is the perfect device to go head to head against the Roku box with. Why aren't they even trying? Even if hardware compatibility were an issue, they could beef up their insides and I'm sure NetFlix would gladly allow Sling to license the player like everyone else does. Why are they pissing away this opportunity. It's nice that I can "project" from my PC, but I'm about to buy a Roku to eliminate the middle man. It's too bad because I like my catcher....

Slingcatcher vs Sling Player

Hey guys I had a question. I have a slingbox pro hd and absolutely love it. However, when using the slingplayer on my mac it sometimes freezes up or skips frames. My question is if I got a sling catcher, would I see a noticable difference? Right now my mac is connected to my TV so i can project the image to my TV. it works about 80% of the time without any frame skips, but to have a decent product, wondering if the sling catcher might have something different that would show nothing but a smooth picture? Any feedback is appreciated S
