Can I use 2 slinlink turbo 1 port or do I need to use the 4 port slinglink and do away with the 1 port. What's the best way to do this? Thanks for any advice rfann

I've been using slinglink turbo for over a year and this is the first time I've had a problem. I'm using two one ports and one four port slinglinks. I have one of the one ports hooked up to a Tivo in my living room. The other day it stopped working, but I got it working in another outlet. Is there something that can be done with the outlet that is no longer working? Is there some way to reset it or something like that to get it working again? Thanks!

Wireless hookup suggestions?

I just got the Slingbox Tuner. The room with the DSL modem and (wireless) router, does not have a TV cable connection. So, I either have to route a long network cable from room to room, or go wireless. First of all, though, I'd like to complain, that Slingbox does not have built-in wireless. Your competitors do-Sony and Hava. If you don't want to lose business to them, I would suggest you start creating Slingboxes with built-in wireless capability. The Slingcatcher should have built-in wireless as well. This is a major deficiency of Slingmedia products. Many people do not have their internet router and TV connection in the same room, and should not have the bother and expense of buying a separate box, hookups, configuration, etc., to get their Slingboxes working. It should be built-in. Anyhow, since my Slingbox unfortunately does not have wireless, I have to look at other solutions. Which works better with the Slingbox, easier to set up, etc.--a normal wireless bridge, or one of the Slinglink powerline gizmos? In looking online, I'm surprised at how expensive wireless bridges are--they cost more than routers! Some more than $100! I don't understand that. Isn't it a more simple...

Is there any way to connect a linksys wrt54gs that I have not being used to one of the ports on the slinglink turbo 4 port? I am thinking I could use this to allow me to have a better wireless network connection for my laptop in the room where the slinglink is. Does this make sense. I tried this when I bought my slinglink, and I could not connect to the internet on my computer. I do have the dd-wrt software on the linksys, but may have it set up incorrectly. I currently have it just being used as a wireless bridge, but as I said before when I connect to the slinglink, I lose the internet connection on my computer on the other end. thanks for any help. never mind. i think i solved teh issue and it seems to be working now.

My home network already has a number of Devolo dlan 200 AV powerline adaptors and I am about to buy a Slingbox solo. The Virgin V+ I will be streaming from is not situated next to the router and I was wondering if anyone could advise me whether there is any difference between using a Slinglink Turbo or just buying another Devolo dlan 200 AV and plugging the Slingbox into that. In other words, is the Slinglink Turbo optimized in some way for the Sling signal or does it work pretty much like any other Powerline adaptor. Thanks

Howdy folks. I have a Slinglink Turbo which is connected to a media streaming device on my home network. The problem I'm having is that I get really slow transfer rates when sending files to the media box. Typical speeds are under 1mb/sec. Theoretically, the Turbo should be able to transfer files much faster, shouldn't it? Is there something I can do to fix my horrible transfer rate? Thanks in advance!

Hello Can any one help? I am trying to find the best way to connect my Apple TV to the Slingbox Pro. My TV is a 37" Sharp Aquos 1080p and has 2 HDMI ports, 1 regular VGA type connector with RGB convertor (tried this direct to the Apple TV and picture was bad), S-Video, 2 scart (one marked RGB) and 1 regular TV antenna cable. All this and no Component. I have couple of questions please: - Does the "Slingbox HD connect" support integrated audio over the RGB (3x) cables? I ask this because I am looking at getting a HDMI to Component (RGB) convertor and the ones I found all have integrate Audio on the RGB. I don't want to spend up to £70 and find it doesn't work. - Does component out of the Apple TV and through the "Slingbox HD Connect" still maintain HD quality up to 1080i or p? Has anyone come across the same problem? Thanks Paolo

Hello All; I am currently using two Sling Link Classic devices, one connects to a ethernet switch, than my gateway router. The other connects to a hub, with a MAC mini and the Slingbox PRO. All works just fine. In a seperate part of my home, I have my daughters PC's connecting to the same ethernet switch via 802.11b/g. The problem is that the wireless signal is quite weak (i.e. two bars). Based on how well the Slink Link has been working, I would like to expand the power line network. My question is can I simply add one more Slink Link, or do these devices work as a pair ? thanks for a prompt reply.
