This cable box is not listed in Sling's Pull down list. Two main issues: one audio and one video ... (a) the sound does not come in on all channels; (b) I cannot for the life of me turn off the CLOSE CAPTIONED scrolling words. I have 2 sky boxes located in a rack with all my other AV equipment. One of them is Sky+ and the other is Sky HD. The problem is that a Sky+ remote will also control Sky HD and vice versa. To get round this conflict I use a Global SPC4 super combiner and reprogram my sky HD remote, block off the IR on the sky HD box and feed the IR in via the SPC4 into the RF outlet on the box. The SPC4 then recodes the IR signal so the Sky HD understands it and thus avoids controlling 2 boxes at the same time. So, in order to use my Slingbox PRO without conflict I need to find out which codes to use and was hoping someone else has done this already to save me trawling through all the codes available. I need slingbox to send the same IR signals as my Sky HD remote does when reprogrammed. I reprogram by: Press the TV button on the remote control, hold down the Select and Blue function button together and the Red LED should flash twice. Key in 0, 1, 2... I am computer literate but very A/V illiterate I think. The situation is this. My kids want to watch cartoons on TV1. My relative wants to watch Bloomberg on TV2. Instead of a second TV, I am thinking a computer with a TV tuner (Slingbox or other) is the same as a second TV. The computer is in the same room as the TV, but I don't want to run a wire across the room. I will have DSL soon, so I will be able to plug a Slingbox into the router, and I am hoping it's to plug the DSL modem into one of those phone line extenders that turn an electrical outlet into a phone jack (I haven't verified this part yet either, I probably need to go find a DSL forum for...
