My problem: my sat-receiver is the Nanoxx 9600ip and is not listed in the list. How do you think I should do to get the right remote control so that i can configure fully my slingbox. I define the dvr as a model DCT6412, and it works fine - except the virtual remote has no volume control buttons. That was never a problem because I used my TV volume control at home, and the DVR volume was set high enough for slingbox playback. However - recently, I moved the whole setup around, and started using the DVR's own volume control. But, when I use slingplayer, I have no way of boosting the volume if I left it too low at home. I have tried quite a few model choices in the slingplayer setup, and none of the virtual remotes (except the qip models) have volume control buttons. (The qip remote looked totally different, and the volume buttons did not seem to work.) I am on the road at the moment, and cannot look to see what model the dvr says - and I seem to remember I could not find a model #, and, originally, I found some info online that suggested I try the DCT6412... The connection is a scart/s-video cable - which mean the scart cable is plugged into the cablebox and the s-video is is plugged into the slingplayer. I have connection but I dont get any signal. The screen message is weak/no signal and I can see the connection speed is down to 180 kb (I have 20 mb download and 4 mb upload. The remote works fine. Do I have to change something in my cablebox setup (I normally use HDMI connection). Anyone with a good suggestion. Thanks in advance. She previously had DirectTV, which you needed a receiver box for every room that there was a tv in. Now she has switched to Time Warner Cable and I believe that now there is only one box (the main dvr) and all the other rooms are hooked up directly to the tv without any kind of a box. I cannot hook up the slingbox to the main dvr because she always is watching/using it. Is there any way I can still use the slingbox anymore without hooking it up to the main tv with the dvr? Unfortunately this set-top box is not listed under Cable box so I chose the only Handan model available which is CV-3500. When I power off the set-top box, it will switch off and on again. When I change channels, it skips channel. It seems that the input is taken twice in succession. I would like someone to send me the correct config file so that I can properly control my set-top. I greatly appreciate if someone helps me with this. Also note that in Malta, all customers have this type of model (Handan VT-3100) so it would be helpful to other customerswho have the slingbox. The input to my Slingbox from my Sky Satellite box is already working fine. On the list of DVD models provided on the Slingbox Set-up Assistant (I'm using Mac OS X - 10.5), there is only listed the Denon DVD 2900 which I selected and subsequently found that I can use the IR Control Code listed to Power On my DVD player from Standby but when I press the software button again to try and power off my DVD and switch it back to Standby mode it doesn't work. To try and find a valid Code to allow the DVD player to be switched both On and Off, I then selected "Other" from the list of Denon DVD players, and find that three codes are listed - Code 1, Code 2 and Code 3. If I select Code 2, I find that I can power off my DVD player by pressing the software Power button and switch it back to Standby. However, when I press the soft Power button again to try and switch my DVD Player back on again, it...
