Can't download Slingplayer - changes country

I bought a Slingbox in the US and have it set up there. I live in the middle east. I'm trying to download Slingplayer on my new laptop in the middle east, but whenever I try to do so from the US sight, it switches me to the UK site. When I try it from there I get an error. I'm hoping that the problem is that the downloader is trying to hard to figure out where I am and that if I had a direct link to the download I could do it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I am in China trying to use my slingbox pro. All was well up until a few weeks ago. It seems that when I have the large window when I go to use my tivo remote I lose the signal and cannot use the Tivo remote. If I am in a minimized small screen in the the left or right hand corner I can use the remote without losing the signal. I have looked at the forums and have not seen anything relating to this problem. Here are my details. My Slingbox pro is located in NY in the USA. It is connected to Cable and an older Tivo DVR. I access my slingbox using a mac laptop. When I open my slingbox to full screen the signal is fine. The remote icon remains at the bottom. When I hit the icon to open the remote things freeze and then everything disapears. I then get a message telling me that the slingbox is in use and I need to enter the admin password. No one else uses this Slingbox or Tivo DVR. It is set up only for me. There is another Tivo in the room but we have designated...

The manual on the other hand says that it is 100-240V (i.e., dual voltage). Can anyone confirm that the power supply that I have is dual voltage? I would hate to plug it in Europe only to have it fry on me. Thank you.

First things first, I want to commend this forum for the past 6 months helping me decide which Slingbox was right for me and all of the information I received by browsing the forum on a regular basis. My problem lies in the ViP211 itself, I've confirmed that the IR Blasters are working correctly by using the digital camera test (white lights were flashing). I've selected the other tab and none of those codes are working either. My question is does anyone have a ViP211 working with their slingbox? I have the PRO-HD.

HI there, Looking for a remote control that you can program the buttons so that we can control a laptop that is showing Slingbox. Our Laptop is connected to a TV. The remote should operate the Laptop ideally through a IR or wireless device connected to a USB port... but that would be ideal.... I am thinking that the buttons of the remote control should be programmable to reflect the operations of the virtual remote within the slin software. Anyone aware of such a device? thanks in anticipation, Allan Thompson

When I was going through the setup it asked me to disable the Block Wan Request, which I did, and the Slingbox is working perfectly. I had not disabled it on my first Slingbox which worked flawlessly for two years. I'm concerned that I turned off a firewall, and my computer is more susceptible to hackers. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm in Japan, but my Slingbox is in the States. It's worked well for months, but recently it's been acting funny. I can connect with whatever is being watched in the US, however, I cannot interact with the remote. It I try to access the DVR, or change the channel, it says 2 Pending, 1 Pending then Controlling ....@....com, optimizing and then streaming again without ever changing the channel/accessing my DVR. Any tips or tricks? My mom is in the UK and having the same problem. Thanks! Lisa

Hi, I have been scrounging web today to find a solution on my own, but no luc; hence I come to seek the help from the community. My setup looks like this: Cable Modem -> Vonage box(router) -> Time Capsule -> Slingbox Pro HD I am able to setup Sling inside the network, but setup wizard keeps erroring out at the last step which is remote viewing. Based on suggestions in couple of other post, I tried opening a port on Time capsule (TC), but was not able to 'cos it is in bridge mode. If I change 'Connection Sharing' option on TC to 'Share a Public IP', it shows a conflict on IP range. When I reset the range, it stops working. Changing placement of the Vonage routerin the sequence, didn't help either. Could somebody please help me by suggesting step-by-step instuections. A help on this will be highly appericiated. Thanks in advance ~yb

Before update slingbox works,so I think this stupid update changed something Slingbox is in Poland, I`m in the US US Slingbox office don`t support devices from UK (why??), but reason why I purchase slingmedia in UK is TV system (PAL instead NTSC) It`s pain in the neck to call UK because time zones!

I had someone ask me via a PM if the At-Large recorder works with the Slingbox, and if so, why he wasn't getting the correct aspect ratio and if it works with the Pro-HD. I thought I would answer publicly because of the confusion regarding it and the lack of support or answers from Applian. First of all I don't see Applian or the At-Large recorder being able to record easily or succesfully with a Pro-HD. If you have one of those then don't bother at all. There is a way to force it to work but not worth the time and effort. Trust me on this. In fact if you look at their own forums you will see that no one has been succesful with a Pro-HD. You can see it here at http://forum.applian.com/forumdisplay.php?f=8 Far as the other boxes go you can use their program if you are happy with a 320x240 recording. That is all you can really get with At-Large, no matter on what you adjust your settings to. This is mainly because they use the mobile phone hack to bring you the stream. For example this is a recording by setting the resolution at 320x240. And...
