Hi all ! As far as I know there is no official word regarding a port of Slingplayer for iPhone. While every iPhone & Slingbox users are waiting for this, I just came across this video : http://www.appleiphoneschool.com/2008/05/08/orblive-2000553/ This is a port of ORB for iPhone where you can see an iPhone as client for an ORB server, allowing access to every kind of media : photo, music, video and Live TV !!! Unfortunatly, using a Mac I can't install ORB as this is a Windows only app... too bad ! I trully hope this will give Sling teams a bit of anger being beaten on this application field... and that we will be able to see our port of SlingPlayer when the AppStore opens ! (yes, I'm willing to pay for this app) What do you thing about this app ? Vincent

For us ignorant of IPhone hacks, I read this. "It does require a jailbroken iPhone"
What does it mean you have to do to make it work..

Do you have an itouch or iphone with this on it? Here is an idea... you could down load checksumcoders latest VLC plugin. With this plugin you can broadcast your slingbox (while you are watching the slingbox onyour pc with the VLC media player) to a port on your LAN. There was not a lot of documentation on ORBlive, but it sounds like you can open the URL of your LAN and watch your slingbox on your touch with ORBLive

@Brandon : It means you must have used one of the many methods available to gain read/write access to your iPhone disk and have the "Installer" app setup on your iPhone. It can't work on an iPhone "out of the box"

@Newbieslinger : as I stated in my post, I'm using a Mac not a PC. Don't know if the plugin you're talking about is working on a Mac but I'll check it. Thanks for the idea !

my son has an iTouch, but it has not be jailbroken. I've read about it, but it's a pretty expensive toy to mess up. Are you able to restore them to "normal" once they are jailbroken or if the jailbreak process interupted? I may just try it out with the sling. Also... I visited the page about orbLive, but I couldnot find where to download it.

I jailbroke the Ipod and downloaded the ORB Live check out the results
