The SlingLinks themselves do not have an IP address. It is simply a bridge. Sounds like your Xbox is conflicting. As ryandh said, though, change the address of your computer.

Can you connect with a direct connect, or public IP address? If so, try opening port 5678 for UDP traffic. Port 5678, at last check, was for the Finder server.

Read through the forums and educate yourself. Sling can also be connectedd to a cable box, analog cable or an antenna if your desperate, I suppose. Mine is connected to a comcast cable box.

I have Verizon. The sales guy said dont ever go over 5GB/month. I only ever really use about a 100MB. Don't watch it much anymore. And I have my bandwidth set really low.

It does sound like your box may have become frozen. The next step would definately be to have someone check it from the home location, if that is possible.

Hey, I would have to agree with NA9D. Problems with this nature are usually due to the router or the ISP. If you are able to view fine from home, it is not the Slingbox....

Make sure the direct connect option is NOT checked. Also make sure the SP software does not have the proxy option checked.

If you are traveling to several different locations, you would need to set the Slingbox up every time. Depending on the location, you may not be able to port forward through the router/corp. firewall.
